The Hamlet Centre Trust

The Hamlet supports children and adults with disabilities and complex health needs from point of diagnosis to 29 years and beyond. Each year The Hamlet supports between 300-500 families in and around the Norfolk area. Through our day care settings, recreational sessions and out of hours club we give support to families aswell as giving care and guidance where needed from our highly trained staff.

  • Mission statement

    The Hamlet exists to provide recreational, educational and social opportunities for children and adults with profound physical/learning disabilities, complex health needs and life limiting medical conditions, from the point of diagnosis into adulthood.

    Our Children’s Centre offers specialist support for families and children from 0 to 18years including: pre-school; out of school recreational activities; activities to promote sensory and physical development; resources, information and training for families.

    Our Adults’ Centre offers activities for young adults with disabilities including: skills for life such as arts, crafts, baking and sports (one-to-one and in groups). We also provide an out-of-hours social group offering opportunities to participate in the local community.

    The Hamlet Centre Trust aims to:

    • The Hamlet aims to develop, improve and expand existing children and adults services. We aim to build and improve services using feedback from families, children, adults and professionals.
    • Ensuring the organisation is well governed. We aim to provide ongoing training for Trustees, review our governance framework and continue to take a robust approach to financial and risk management.
    • We aim to develop our organisation so it is well managed, attracts and retains professional and skilled staff. We will continue to offer appropriate training to ensure our staff are highly qualified.
    • Promoting The Hamlet and generating income to support the services we provide. We aim to increase our marketing and fundraising to support our work.
