Ora Choir

ORA was born out of a belief that we are in a Second Golden Age of choral music, comparable with that of the Renaissance. With this in mind, the group’s performances and recordings showcase classic masterpieces of the Renaissance
alongside reflections from contemporary composers.

  • Mission statement

    ORA is vocal a cappella group who seeks to advance, improve, develop the public education in the Arts; in particular choral music! We present exciting recordings, show-stopping concerts, and commission some of the worlds leading and up-and-coming composers. Every penny donated goes towards our vast commissioning programme and the performance/recording of these works; supporting the composers and professional musicians who perform and record them, and those busy working behind the scenes!

    Ora Choir aims to:

    • To create 100 new choral works by 100 living composers.
    • To improve the public's appreciation of and education in classical music, in particular, choral music.
    • To provide an income and professional opportunities for artists, designers, singers, producers and composers working in the arts.
