  • Mission statement

Our mission is to provide, and to support others to provide, opportunities in sport and physical activity which can be accessed by everyone - whether it be through participation, volunteering, coaching or education - in a supportive environment.

Herts Disability Sports Foundation was registered as a charity in April 2014 to provide recreation or other leisure opportunities to improve conditions of life and advance mental and physical health and wellbeing. We provide this service to anyone who has a need because of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social circumstances. We also have a remit to advance education (including training and development), promote volunteering, social inclusion, equality and diversity.

Our Aim is to support improved quality of life through involvement in sport and physical activity. The Foundation is now being recognised across the county as a source of expertise for disability sport - from our track record, the skills of our staff and our open commitment to ‘practise what we preach’ on a daily basis. As Herts Disability Sport Foundation, we aim to strengthen our current partnerships across the county, develop our fundraising activities and raise our profile as a source of expertise for sport for all.
