Oswin Projects

Rehabilitation for offenders.
We work in partnership with local business and other agencies to develop employment and apprenticeship opportunities for ex-offenders on their release from HMP Northumberland, one of the largest prisons in Britain with over 1,300 inmates.
We work closely with businesses throughout the selection process, ensuring that every role is filled by the most appropriate candidate,

Founded 2014

  • Mission statement

To give offenders a second chance.

Our work is not designed to be a short term solution, but to break the cycle of re-offending by imparting the skills and attitudes which ex-offenders need to succeed in life outside of prison.

  • Aims

    Oswin Projects aims to:

    • Rehabilitation Give the ex-offender the opportunity to learn a trade. Meaning that when he leaves prison, he is more likely to achieve his/her potential
    • Social Integration Build a network of support to help the offenders to develop other softer skills such as self-confidence, better communication, teamwork and time-keeping skills.
    • Better Citizenship The offender feels more able to contribute and the community in which ex-offender lives becomes a safer place to live
