Multi-story Music

The Multi-Story Orchestra presents extraordinary performances in unexpected settings. From car parks to schools and festivals, we create amazing live classical music experiences performed by incredible musicians.

Our internationally celebrated group of young musicians is committed to bringing classical music to new audiences and delivers a wide-reaching education programme in local schools.

In 2016 the Orchestra won a Royal Philharmonic Society Award and had its BBC Proms Debut.

  • Mission statement

We believe in the power of classical music to bring together people and communities through shared experiences, meaningful communication and personal interactions. Our mission is to create a new perception of classical music by removing barriers in where and how it is presented, and who it is seen to be for.

  • Aims

    Multi-story Music aims to:

    • To offer the highest level of artistic quality to everyone we engage with and create classical music experiences that are open, engaging and inspirational for everyone.
    • To address inequalities in access to classical music.
    • To introduce high-quality classical music to young people without any separation of 'artistic' and 'outreach' work.
    • To create artist-led projects and support the creative involvement of our musicians.
