  • Mission statement

The Mariposa Trust has been established to provide services and support for people who have lost children at any stage of pregnancy, at birth, or in infancy, be it last week or 60-years ago, and to achieve this the trusts aims are as follows:

    1. Create Remembrance Services that allow people to grieve in a supportive environment, giving people the time and space they need to acknowledge and remember the babies they have lost.

    2. Create a comprehensive support structure, allowing people to access the support they need, at the times they need it most, and for as long as they need it.

    3. Improve the care and support of anyone going through loss. The charity is committed to campaigning and lobbying for change, and by working with Government, the DoH, the NHS and other organisations, it aims to improve the care for anyone suffering baby loss, and aims to achieve a parity of care, wherever people live in the UK.

    4. Change the taboo nature of baby loss, allowing for more open discussion, acceptance and support. By embracing social media, and actively engaging with traditional media, the charity is at the forefront of raising the importance of the issue of baby loss, and the importance of support.

In addition the charity is actively involved in supporting people who are pregnant following loss, those who are going through fertility treatment, those who are going through the process of adoption and those supporting others through loss.
