Lyra in Africa

Lyra invests in girls' education and community enterprise in rural Tanzania to create a community-led, virtuous cycle of increasing social and economic capital that enables communities to feed their children and complete their school education. Lyra builds dormitories, enabling girls to attend school safely and have time to study. In addition, we provide access to offline, digital education in schools, but also village credits schemes for income enhancing activities in surrounding communities.
