Pregnancy Crisis Care (Plymouth & Se Cornwall)

We provide free bereavement counselling for individuals and couples facing any kind of pregnancy-related crisis - this can be pregnancy loss/baby loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death), after abortion and impartial counselling for those facing the shock of an unexpected pregnancy. We also provide support and counselling for those facing anxiety and depression within a pregnancy.

Founded 2008

  • Mission statement

Pregnancy Crisis Care provides a compassionate response to crisis pregnancy and pregnancy loss, recognising the right of each individual to express and explore their feelings and emotions connected to unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss in a safe, confidential place.

This involves 1:1 counselling for individuals as well as couples counselling and group therapy, and is delivered by trained, empathic practitioners who have a sincere passion for this work.

Pregnancy Crisis Care exists to offer free, confidential counselling and support to those facing any pregnancy-related crisis, at any stage. This includes impartial pregnancy choices counselling, counselling for those facing difficulties after an abortion, and counselling for baby loss. These services are offered 1:1 to women (and their partners), or in a group, when available, and are delivered in accordance with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy’s (BACP) Ethical Framework for Counselling Professions.
