  • Mission statement

The London Festival of Baroque Music's (LFBM) mission is to raise the profile of baroque music and to champion its importance and contribution to the broad musical landscape. It is a rare opportunity for UK audiences to experience live performances by musicians of the highest international calibre from the UK and abroad, who specialise in baroque music.

To achieve its mission, LFBM programmes the highest-quality artistic performances in the field of Baroque music from abroad and from the UK. It also aims to excite and educate new audiences through projects such as musical activities for families, offering subsidised tickets for educational trips and developing teaching resources eg, recorded talks and guides. It also programmes informal performances to attract those less used to attending formal evening concerts such as Late O'Clock Baroque and Future Baroque.

  • Aims

London Festival Of Baroque Music aims to:

    • To raise the profile of Baroque music, and the artists that champion the art form, to established and new audiences.
    • To develop emerging young talent keen to progress in the music industry, through provision of performances opportunities and access to coaching from leading artists.
    • To generate new audiences for Baroque music, in particular younger audiences (i.e. in school, families and under 30s), through delivery of educational activities, talks and special ticket schemes.
