The Basement Studio

The Basement Studio is a Bristol citywide charity using youth work and music to support 11-25 year olds, targeting disadvantage and working for social inclusion.
At regular free sessions and projects young people have new opportunities to reconnect with learning and gain confidence and transferable life skills through making music and related activities in safe settings with experienced and qualified music and youth worker support.

  • Mission statement

    We aim to make sure all young people in Bristol have access to inspiring, imaginative and high quality opportunities to develop as music creatives and contribute to communities as active citizens.
    We will support this through: developing inclusive and accessible services; collaborating and building networks and progression routes; actively engaging with disadvantaged young people and their communities; positively promoting young people in communities, professionally and with decision-makers.
    Young people are at the heart of what we do - they help run sessions, teach, make decisions and represent.
