Sandhurst Counselling Service

The aim of counselling in a confidential environment is to enable people to lead richer, more fulfilling and resourceful lives. It provides support by giving an opportunity to discuss and explore the thoughts and feelings that are often behind mental distress and anguish with the same counsellor each week. Counsellors facilitate a deeper understanding of feelings so clients may decide to make changes for themselves. Counselling is beneficial for a wide range of conditions.

    Our mission in counselling is to create a structured setting to engage with a client who has some recognition of internal difficulties and some desire to resolve his/her problems of an emotional, personal, relational or behavioural nature.
    Counselling offers a relationship with the intent to alleviate distress and to facilitate growth thereby:

    • increasing self understanding on the part of the client
    • increasing awareness in the client of options for change
    • increasing the client’s ability to
