The Boathouse Youth Limited

The Boathouse Youth operates a weekly programme for children and young people aged 5-19 in some of the most deprived and poverty-stricken areas of the UK.

This involves a progressive weekly-programme starting at 5-years-old exploring the issues of friendship and fun. The older the child the more intense the opportunities with residential experiences, the Duke of Edinburgh's Award and employability skills featuring high on our key priorities.

Founded 2009

  • Mission statement

Above all, The Boathouse Youth aims to provide a programme of positive activities that will enhance a child's educational and recreational abilities. We endeavour to build confidence, restore self-esteem and bring happiness to the lives of our young members.

The Boathouse Youth has three core-values: Love, Respect and Discipline. We believe that a consistent demonstration of these values at all of our provision will, inevitably, result in them being deported into others areas of our youngsters' lives.

We endeavour to unlock the barriers and restrictions that prevent young people from participating by providing all of its provision free-of-charge at easy-to-access locations across the borough.

It is our vision that all of our young people, whether they journey with us for their entire childhood or for just a short-period, will reach adulthood ready to be effectively contributing members of their society.
