Integrity Action works with partners in developing communities to ensure that projects and services are delivered as they should, and money intended to help beneficiaries is spent properly.
We mobilise citizens to demand integrity from project implementers by using technology to report problems on our open platform DevelopmentCheck and incentivising the collaboration of all stakeholders to fix these problems through our metric the 'Fix-Rate' which measures improvement in delivery over-time.
Our mission is to empower citizens to act with and demand integrity, actively taking part in building institutions to promote a state that is open, accountable and responsive to their needs and expectations.
In our approach, institutionalising integrity requires the alignment of four factors:
Accountability: Enabling stakeholders to check that we do what we say we do
Competence: Doing it well
Core values: Doing it with honour
Corruption control: Doing it without corruption
Integrity Action aims to:
- SDG 16; Develop effective, accountable and transparent institutions at all levels and to ensure responsive, inclusive, participatory and representative decision-making at all levels
- Community voice and action drive inclusiveness, accountability and transparency in sustainable delivery of education, health, and livelihoods projects to meet their needs.
