The Speakeasy provides specialist advice and other support to help people tackle the problems they face as a result of social issues including welfare benefits, debt, housing, employment law and fuel poverty.
We offer drop-in clinics in Cardiff, open to all, where people can get independent, expert advice from practising solicitors and other trained advisers.
Our vision is to see people in Cardiff lift themselves out of poverty.
The Speakeasy aims to:
- release people from the crippling anxiety of debt, helping them take an active part in their community
- ensure people can afford to feed themselves and their families properly
- enable people to live in good quality housing, safe from the threat of eviction and homelessness
- ensure people can keep their homes warm and afford to pay their bills
