Hazel Hill Trust

Hazel Hill is a beautiful, secluded 70-acre wood and sustainable retreat education centre, seven miles from Salisbury, offering scope for people to deepen their connection with nature and learn about living renewably.
We run educational and wellbeing events using in-depth contact with nature for a wide range of clients, including adults and children, many with particular needs (eg: carers, mental illness, behavious issues, high pressure frontline jobs).

Founded 2015

  • Mission statement

The overall aim of Hazel Hill Trust is to promote wellbeing, resilience and sustainability: for individuals, society and the natural world. Enabling people to engage more deeply with nature, especially at Hazel Hill Wood, is a major means of fulfilling this aim.

  • Aims

    Hazel Hill Trust aims to:

    • To promote wellbeing and resilience, using nature as a model. This includes our Nourishing the Front Line programme aimed at people in high pressure frontlline roles in health, social care, charities
    • To offer education, in and about nature. We welcome groups of children and young people to the wood, to experience, learn about and connect with the natural world.
    • To engage people in conservation work. We welcome groups of volunteers for one day or weekend conservation work, to protect and enhance Hazel Hill Wood, while gaining confidence and skills themselves
    • To build and maintain appropriate residential eco-buildings to support our aims above, while demonstrating sustainable living.
