An independent charity founded in 1910, N-Vision - Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Society for the Blind, provides care and support for people who are blind or visually impaired regardless of age or means.

  • Mission statement

    By providing a range of integrated services N-Vision - Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre Society for the Blind aims to meet the practical, physical and emotional needs of people who are blind or visually impaired such that they can fulfil their potential and make the most of their lives.
    Services include -
    • The Princess Alexandra Home - 40 residents and 6 flats for the more independent;
    • Low Vision Centre - practical & emotional support, sight awareness training and specialist equipment;
    • Eye Clinic Liaison Officer - vital support and referral at diagnosis;
    • Talking Newspaper - the news in audio distributed weekly;
    • Visually Impaired Personal Support - benefits advice;
    • Caregivers at Home - practical, physical in home support

    • To maintain, improve and expand the range of practical, physical and emotional support services we provide to over 2,200 clients.
