SSNAP supports families and their babies on the Newborn Intensive Care Unit at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. Imagine your newborn baby, needing specialist care at birth. This can be a very traumatic time for parents and families. SSNAP is here to help by not only providing state of the art life saving medical equipment over and above what the NHS can provide but by providing practical and emotional support to these families during a time of trauma and upheaval.

SSNAP is here to help by not only providing state of the art life saving medical equipment over and above what the NHS can provide but by providing practical and emotional support to these families during a time of trauma and upheaval.

    Support For The Sick Newborn And Their Parents aims to:

    • To provide state of the art medical equipment over and above what the NHS can provide & Study days and specialist training courses to equip nursing staff with up to date
    • A team of Family support workers and volunteers to provide practical and emotional support, along with comfortable and well equipped family rooms and quiet areas
    • Free accommodation right next to the hospital, providing a home from home for parents whose babies need longer term care or who live outside Oxfordshire. We also provide travel costs for families who
    • Improve treatment for sick and premature babies by funding ground breaking medical research.
