Culpeper Community Garden Association

Culpeper Community Garden is an award winning community garden in south Islington run by the local community on organic and sustainable principles. It is open to all, 7 days a week. It comprises plots for local residents and groups, communal areas and community buildings. It was established in 1983 and is a registered charity.

  • Mission statement

    Our aim is to provide and maintain a beautiful and sustainable open space open to all where people from all backgrounds and ages can relax, garden and learn about horticulture, nature and the environment. We particularly welcome and support disadvantaged and vulnerable people in the local community.
    We are run by a local management committee elected by the membership.
    We garden organically.
    We work in partnership with the local community and with local voluntary organisations working with vulnerable people.
    We provide environmental education for local primary schools.

    Culpeper Community Garden Association aims to:

    • To provide environmental education and arts workshops for local children free of charge in the school holidays in 2018.
