  • Mission statement

    We are an organisation with a reputation for developing innovative responses to families who are struggling to improve their families difficult circumstances whether from homelessness or family breakdown The Roberts Centre began thirty years ago because a small group of caring people in Portsmouth recognised the needs of the large number of homeless families in Portsmouth. We focus our energies on designing and delivering services for people who want a better life for their families whether they are struggling with homelessness or family relationship breakdown, with an emphasis on meeting the needs of children, who are particularly affected by their families' plights.
    Our commitment is to provide services with targeted interventions for families tackling complex issues which include debt, homelessness, parenting difficulties, co-parenting, managing money, lifestyle changes, mental health and learning difficulties, low educational attainment continues.

    The EC Roberts Centre aims to:

    • Develop and deliver innovative childcare services that improve children’s potential life chances – improve our current services, design and pilot services which address unmet need for children and young people
    • Develop and deliver innovative resettlement services that reduce the incidence of Homelessness year on year - – improve our current services, design and pilot services which address unmet need for families and vulnerable people
