Leicester City Of Sanctuary
Our services include a weekly Drop-In which provides a hot lunch and a range of services to our beneficiaries. We run classes (ESOL, IT, Sewing) in 3 different locations in Leicester. Our New Evidence Search Team (NEST) provides support and guidance to asylum seekers. We also support a weekly meetings for a football team in collaboration with Leicester City Footbal Club. Our speakers regularly give talks at schools and events.

Leicester City of Sanctuary is a registered charity running a wide range of projects supporting refugees and asylum seekers in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Aims
Leicester City Of Sanctuary aims to:
- To advance the education of the public in general, especially in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland about the issues relating to refugees and to people seeking asylum or sanctuary.
- To advance education and relieve poverty and financial hardship amongst refugees, people seeking sanctuary and people refused asylum in the UK, and their dependents.
- To provide facilities for training, recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of those persons who have need of such facilities.
- The promotion of equality and diversity for the public benefit by promoting activities to foster understanding between people from diverse backgrounds.
