Shabaton L'menucha Trust

Shabaton L'Menucha Trust was set up to provide relief for children & young adults with disability by the provision of recreational, educational and social opportunities and respite care with a view to improving their conditions of life.

We arrange weekend retreats several times a year for over 80 children and young adults suffering from moderate to severe mental, physical and emotional disabilities as well as weekly events, such as sports, music and other activity sessions.

    Children with disabilities lead very challenging lives. Many suffer with chronic pain & ongoing difficulties in performing the most basic living tasks. Our aim is to provide them with respite care and social opportunities to improve their condition of life. Our mission is to ensure that no disabled child or young adult anywhere in the UK should have to suffer without us.

  • Aims

    Shabaton L'menucha Trust aims to:

    • Disabled people have better chances in life- They are given opportunities to improve their communication skills, social skills and other life skills to integrate better into society.
    • Stronger communities- The voluntary nature of our projects strengthens the communities. Volunteers develop relationships with the disabled users and this helps them to integrate in the community.
    • Healthier and more active people in the communities- The disabled people are given opportunities for physical activities, which improves their fine and gross motor skills a their physical fitness.
