Arts Emergency provides mentoring and networking services to young people aged 16 - 24 from low income backgrounds.
To resist the re-gentrification of the Arts and Humanities in higher education and the cultural workforce, through the redistribution of social and cultural capital - ensuring those who are most able to benefit from, but least able to access influential networks, education in the arts, and opportunities to gain experience and knowledge, get a fair chance to develop their skills and interests, and ultimately, find gainful employment in all sectors related to culture, civil society, education, politics, media and the arts.
Working for a world where all citizens, from all walks of life, have a stake in, and contribute to, the culture in which they live.
Arts Emergency aims to:
- To work for a world where all citizens, from all walks of life, have a stake in and contribute constructively to the culture they are living in.
