We are an all-volunteer run arts centre and museum at Fairlynch, a Grade 2 Listed early-19th century building owned by the Trust. Open from April to October, entry to visitors is free.
Financially, we are almost entirely dependent on grants and donations.

  • Mission statement

    To maintain to the highest standard, a Museum and Arts Centre for the benefit of the inhabitants of and visitors to Budleigh Salterton and the Lower Otter Valley.
    To preserve and display the objects which have been donated to and acquired by the museum.
    To promote an understanding of the area in its geological, environmental, literary, historic and contemporary aspects.
    To develop and expand the museum's ability to provide educational and research opportunities for all ages.
    To maintain financial responsibility for the building and its collections.
