Carers Gloucestershire is an independent, carer-led charity that has been working to achieve a better life for carers for almost 25 years. Primarily our work is with people who care for a loved one with life limiting or terminal illnesses, dementia, mental health issues, addictions, acquired injuries and parents who care for children who are physically disabled or have learning difficulties.
Our mission is to support the mental, physical and financial health and well-being of carers, ensuring that none has to face the challenges of caring along. We will achieve this by responding to the needs of carers, helping them to achieve their desired outcomes through the provision of a range of good quality services and support.
Carers Gloucestershire aims to:
- To Increase the reach of Carers Gloucestershire, identifying more carers from all communities within Gloucestershire.
- Help carers achieve their desired outcomes by the provision of a diverse range of quality services.
- Give carers an independent collective voice to influence policy making and service planning.
- Ensure the sustainability of Carers Gloucestershire and the ongoing services for carers.
