  • Mission statement

We believe that everyone deserves good advice. That’s why Citizens Advice Isle of Wight support over 6,000 people a year with free and impartial advice on a range of issues like debt, employment, housing, benefits and tax credits plus many more of the complex issues faced by our local community.

Founded in September 1967, Citizens Advice IW has helped several generations of Isle of Wight residents access the information and support they need to make a difference in their lives. We hope to continue helping people with the problems they face for another 50 years!

Currently we assist with over 12,000 client issues every year, but with many more island residents needing advice with increasingly complex issues we aim to expand our services to include more people in need.

We value diversity, champion equality and challenge discrimination and harassment.
Without us the community would lose access to the knowledge and services we provide that help people to take control of their lives and find a way forward.
