Bluebell Care Trust
Bluebell Care Trust
Bluebell supports and protects the mental well being of mothers, father and families affected by antenatal and post natal depression, anxiety and other associated mental health concerns through the provision of therapeutic groups, befriending, practical support & providing information via our city centre hub, whilst raising awareness of peri-natal mental health concerns to the media and wider public.
Our services support many mums, dads and families living in Bristol and beyond, offering befriending, supportive groups, one-to-one listening, advice, information and hope for anyone affected by antenatal and post-natal depression. . Our services are delivered across the city and comprise of a 12-week therapeutic group programme, 'Mums' Comfort Zone', which runs in Children's Centres in North, South and Central Bristol, a group for Dads 'Dad’s in Mind,' and a one-to-one 'Buddy' service for both mums and dads. The Buddy service provides more informal support either at home or in a local community setting for mums and dads who find accessing a group very hard for reasons such as lack of confidence or difficulty leaving the house.
We are excited to have opened Bluebell Place, our welcoming city centre hub offering a variety of therapeutic workshops and creative & relaxing activities designed to encourage high levels of user involvement and support positive change in the lives of local families living with perinatal mental illness.
Bluebell Care Trust aims to:
- An improved sense of well-being for pregnant & post natal Mums, dads & families.
- Decrease feelings of isolation & stigma for pregnant & post natal Mums, Dads & families.
- Improve the bonding experience between parents struggling with peri-natal mental health problems and their babies.
