Tomorrow's People

Tomorrow’s People empowers young people from disadvantaged communities to build the skills and confidence they need to move into, and succeed in the workplace.

Founded 1984

  • Mission statement

Tomorrow’s People is a pioneering charity that helps young people trapped by circumstances not of their own making to escape to employment and a place in society. Without our help, these young people remain ‘hidden’ and overlooked.

There are just under a quarter of a million young people not in employment, education or training and, crucially, not receiving mainstream help to get into work. Without effective support, these young people become more detached from the job market and long-term unemployed. We can help these young people to break free.

  • Aims

    Tomorrow's People aims to:

    • We ensure young build the confidence, resilience and skills needed to get a job and succeed in the workplace.
    • We do this by improving skills and qualifications, by strengthening personal and social skills, and by facilitating access to local employers and work placements.
    • We continue to support the young person in the next phase of their journey and their new employers, for up to a year, to ensure long-term success.
