Drug resistant infections are the biggest threat to modern medicine, with ‘superbugs’ killing more than 700,000 people globally each year.
Antibiotic Research UK is the world’s first charity created to tackle bacterial antibiotic resistant infections. We aim to:
• Develop one new antibiotic therapy by the early 2020’s
• Educate the public and professionals about antibiotic resistance
• Develop a patient support network

Mission statement
To protect and promote the health of the public, in particular by sponsoring research into the diagnosis, treatment and cure of antibiotic-resistant bacterial infectious diseases, ensuring responsible and sustainable development and deployment of the findings of such research and raising awareness through public facing activities and the promotion of networks to share experiences of such matters.
