Asylum Justice provides free legal services to asylum seekers and refugees in Wales in cases where Legal Aid is not available. AJ is registered with the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (Reg No N200800025) and is a charitable trust (Reg No 1112026).

  • Mission statement

    Asylum Justice's mission is to provide free, independent legal services for asylum seekers and refugees in Wales unable to access them elsewhere.

    Our charitable objects are the relief of poverty, in particular but not exclusively, for persons including, but not limited to, asylum seekers and refugees who have at any stage raised, or seek to raise, arguments under the 1951 United Nations Refugee Convention or the European Convention of Human Rights or the Human Rights Act 1998 to the Secretary of State for the Home Department or the Immigration and Asylum Chamber of the Administrative Tribunal or in any other legal or public administrative proceedings.

    Asylum Justice provide legal advice, assistance and representation in relation to persons including but not limited to asylum seekers and refugees who by reason of their inadequate means are unable to obtain such advice and representation from their own resources and who, in particular but not exclusively, have at any stage raised, or seek to raise, arguments under the 1951 United Nations Refugee Convention or the European Convention of Human Rights or the Human Rights Act 1998 to the Secretary of State for the Home Department or the Immigration and Asylum Chamber of the Administrative Tribunal or in any other legal or public administrative proceedings.
