Rock Of Joy Trust

Over the last 10 years we have been providing primary school education in areas of poverty in Uganda. We help three schools and are working towards making them self sufficient by developing local farming projects. One is in the slums of Kampala and the other two are where HIV first started. We have a 150 bed residential care project for orphans and children at risk. We also provide clean water, sanitation. We need to fund brick school buildings and stock a 50 acre farm that we have purchased.

Founded 2007

  • Mission statement

Our mission is to advance the education, health and well-being of pupils, teachers and communities associated with our three Ugandan schools.

We do this through providing teachers, clean water, brick buildings for classrooms, school meals, an orphanage, and large farming projects to enable self sufficiency.

  • Aims

Rock Of Joy Trust aims to:

    • To build brick classrooms at Antioch Primary School in the slums of Kampala. This school started in wooden shacks which are insecure, get eaten by termites and are not rain proof.
    • To develop a commercial chicken farm which can produce 2000 chickens a month on two sites which will pay for the teachers salaries.
