Fly2help provides respite to those living in distressing circumstances and inspiration to young people considering their futures.
We run two charitable programmes, Air Smiles Days and Aim High, both centred around aviation.
An Air Smiles Day centres around flying and aims to give a profound and lasting sense of well-being and accomplishment to children and adults living in challenging situations.
Aim High is an educational programme, helping young people learn about careers in aviation.
A national charity with a local approach, we provide a unique and inspirational programme to people in need alongside a programme which offers a pathway into the aviation careers industry for young people.
Air Smiles Days aims to utilise the exhilaration of flying to combat the suffering and isolation caused by long term learning and physical difficulties, life limiting conditions, serious anxiety, bereavement or isolation. It brings together families, SEN school groups and others and utilizes the experience of flying to participate in an inclusive experience which has been proven to have a long lasting and positive impact upon health, well-being and relationship bonds.
Aim High is our educational programme, offering a week long opportunity to young people aged between 14 and 18 and who may be interested in a career in aviation. We offer a pathway into the industry through a variety of exciting and immersive visits and activities.
This opportunity is free to join and applicants undergo an interview and selection process. The week encourages students to look behind the scenes of the aviation industry which promotes intellectual curiosity, experience of the job recruitment process and the opportunity to connect with industry experts who can offer guidance to students about the various routes into their chosen career. This experience has proven invaluable to many students, helping them focus on their strengths and talents and inspiring confidence and belief in their futures.
