Islington Boat Club

IBC is the only watersports provider in the Borough of Islington and is unique in its offer both on-site at the City Road Basin on the Regents Canal and also in the great outdoors when it delivers residential activities away from its centre. IBC’s high quality youth offer has been developed and refined over 45 years to address personal and social development through the medium of sport.

  • Mission statement

    (I) to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and other leisure time occupation for the benefit of children and young people resident principally but not exclusively in the London Borough of Islington with the object of improving the conditions of life of such persons aforesaid; and
    (II) to advance the education, particularly of such children and young people as aforesaid, primarily through outreach work with schools, after-school clubs and community groups in such manner as the Club shall consider appropriate
