Charity information

Gateshead Older People's Assembly

We represent the views of everyone over 50 in Gateshead, led by our board of trustees who are all members. We support 18 volunteer-led social groups and provide free postural stability courses across Gateshead. At Deckham village Hall we offer weekly exercise classes, Tea Dance and run a volunteer-led, pay-what-you-can community café. We focus on providing activities that target loneliness and social isolation, prevent and reduce falls, and prevent malnutrition among older people in Gateshead.
