Mental Health Research UK

Mental Health Research UK was the first UK charity dedicated to raising funds for research into mental illnesses, their causes and cures, in order to develop better treatments with fewer side-effects. We registered as a charity in 2008 and provide funding for PhD research fellowships for up to 3 years. Universities apply, and a scientific advisory board shortlists, interviews, and decides on the best project to fund. The successful university then selects the best PhD candidate.
