NPUK exists to make a positive difference to the lives of those affected by Niemann-Pick disease (NPD) and their families, from diagnosis to bereavement and beyond. Our aims are; to increase awareness of NPD amongst health professionals and the wider general public, to shorten time to diagnosis and facilitate research into effective therapies, thus ensuring that each affected individual has access to the best available treatment, support and information appropriate to their needs.

    Vision:
    Our Vision is a world where those affected by Niemann-Pick disease benefit from expert care, services and effective therapies that will enhance their quality of life, enable them to participate in society and achieve their full potential.
    Mission Statement:
    To increase awareness of Niemann-Pick disease amongst health professionals and the wider general public, to shorten time to diagnosis and enable research into effective therapies, ensuring that each affected individual has access to the best available treatment, support and information appropriate to their needs.
    Aims and Objectives:
    The main aims and objectives of NP-UK are; to make a positive difference to the lives of those affected by Niemann-Pick diseases (NPD), relieve sickness and any distress which may arise there from, and to advance the education and awareness of families, professionals and the general public in all matters concerning the disease.
    The desired impact of our work is knowledgeable (about NPD), confident families who can make informed decisions and cope with the daily challenges of NPD, plus a stronger NPD community providing mutual support and reducing feelings of isolation and despair.
