Founded in 1999 Foresight is a local charity based in that works to improve the overall quality of life for disabled people, older people, their families and carers. Our services include the delivery of a structured programme of community learning, sport and active recreation, a befriending service, independent living and supported housing, a disabled children's holiday activity programme, a community hub with gym and dance studio and a range of associated projects.

    Our mission statement is ‘‘To provide the way forward for the disabled and older communities of North East Lincolnshire and surrounding areas. Empowering individuals to a new beginning, a brighter future, and a full and enjoyable life. ” To achieve this we offer a range of user led services that offer new opportunities to our local community, building confidence and self esteem, improving health and well being and empowering individuals to maximise their potential and fulfill their aspirations. Our vision is ‘’To reach out to all disabled and older people across North East Lincolnshire and surrounding areas raising aspirations through empowerment and support, promoting independence, and offering access to choices and opportunities widely available in their communities and integral to their everyday lives. At Foresight we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to have improved life chances irrespective of their age or disability and our services offer all participants the chance to gain the skills, knowledge and experience to make this aspiration a reality. Through these services we promote ability, remove the barriers to access and participation and encourage community involvement combating the social isolation and disadvantage faced by the majority of our local community.

    Foresight North East Lincolnshire Ltd aims to:

    • Communicating and co-operating in developing and providing services for our beneficiaries ultimately resulting in enhanced quality of life.
    • The advancement of education, training or retraining, particularly among disabled people and providing disabled people with work experience increasing confidence and self esteem
    • The provision of recreational facilities for those who by reason of their age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social circumstances enhancing health and well being
    • the removal of barriers to participation resulting in community cohesion and high levels of social inclusion
