Derbyshire Positive Support

The charity exists to support people living with or impacted by HIV/AIDS. We provide Counselling or ‘just need to talk to someone’ services,‘Drop In’ groups,'Living well with HIV' sessions one to one and group sessions, Help with form filling, Benefits Information & Advice, Support through Work Capability Assessments and Medicals, Free Condoms & Lube provision and One Minute HIV Test (finger prick Result in 1 Minute)

    To promote the relief of people who are living with or affected by HIV and to help alleviate physical and emotional stress or hardship caused by HIV.
    To provide education, information and advice about HIV to persons with the condition, their families and friends; the medical and nursing profession; statutory and voluntary bodies and the general public.

    Derbyshire Positive Support aims to:

    • To supports people living with or affected by HIV infection.
    • To prevent the secondary transmission of HIV by the provision of education/training and delivery of HIV rapid testing.
