Stanley Grange Community Association

We were formed in 2014 to stop the closure of Stanley Grange - an intentional community for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in Lancashire. We were successful and now own the site. We are working hard to secure its long-term future; repairing and upgrading the homes, carrying out long-overdue maintenance on the site, setting up a range of day services and social activities for all adults with LD in the area and developing our strategic vision for the site.

Founded 2014

  • Mission statement

To relieve the needs of adults with learning disabilities through the provision of accommodation, including residential care and supported living and supported work placements.

  • Aims

Stanley Grange Community Association aims to:

    • To complete a programme of modernisation on the homes across the site, to ensure that we are providing safe and appropriate accommodation for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
    • To secure funding, through grants, trusts, donations and legacies, to complete the necessary repairs and upgrades.
    • To develop a Master Plan for Stanley Grange; a vision that will be used to shape future developments on site
    • To develop a robust fundraising and promotional strategy to support the development of the charity as Stanley Grange.
