Nunnykirk Centre is a is a Department for Education approved, non-maintained special school for pupils who are facing challenges associated with learning needs such as Dyslexia, ASD Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia and Dysgraphia. Nunnykirk aims to support pupils with their education and social needs, helping to change their future prospects. Nunnykirk works to combat the issues pupils face so that they can progress academically and socially, moving on into further education, employment or training

    Nunnykirk Centre For Dyslexia aims to:

    • Nunnykirk Centre aims to ensure that everything we do and stand for supports the mission and therefore moves closer to the vision.
    • To advance bespoke education designed to address the needs of pupils between the ages of 9-18 with Dyslexia, ASD and other associated difficulities
    • To advance bespoke education designed to address the needs of pupils between the ages of 9-18 with Dyslexia, ASD and other associated difficulities
    • To provide a safe environment that nurtures encourages, promotes individual well-being, provides mental and emotional health support that enables the potential for learning and skills
    • To enable pupils with specific learning difficulties to re-enter the education system/world of work with the sense of self-worth, confidence and skills needed to succeed
