  • Mission statement

The Association was established in 1987 & exists to promote ‘good neighbouring’ where local people ‘watch’ out for each other and seek to combat the things that threaten the quality of community life. In June 2014, listening to what people said, we changed our name, not our values to reflect how we have grown from being more than Neighbourhood Watch schemes to support a broader community impact, where we operate 60 types of different watch schemes that include School, Shop, Business, Farm, Equine, Park, Care, Youth, Dog, No cold calling WATCH schemes to name some.

The Association works closely with Community Safety Partners in Flintshire & Wrexham which include, Flintshire & Wrexham Local Authorities, North Wales Police, North Wales Fire & Rescue Service, others including representatives from other Third Sector Organisations.

Our service delivery complements and supports the Crime Plans of Flintshire & Wrexham Community Safety Partnership, as well as The Police & Crime
Commissioner for North Wales, Welsh Government and Home Office to facilitate safe and secure environments that embrace diversity, race, and faith and spans generations. We particularly support vulnerable and older people and groups as diverse as disadvantaged neighbourhoods and farming
