Our work involves inspiring everyone with an interest in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to get involved in the conservation and enhancement of this special landscape.

  • Mission statement

    The Trust’s mission is to inspire everyone with an interest in the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) to get involved in the conservation and enhancement of this special landscape.

    To achieve this, the Trust will:

    * Raise funds for landscape and wildlife conservation projects
    * Administer a small projects grant fund#
    * Establish and manage the ‘Cranborne Chase Volunteers’
    * Raise awareness and understanding of the AONB through the development of an events Programme
    * Improve young people's understanding of the countryside and the AONB through educational projects
    * Work in partnership with others to manage land and property for landscape and wildlife
    * Help to create a ‘Countryside Centre’ for the AONB

  • Aims

    Cranborne Chase Landscape Trust aims to:

    • The Cranborne Chase Landscape Trust will actively fundraise to help achieve its purpose. This will include organising fundraising events, running a membership scheme and accepting legacies.
    • The Cranborne Chase Landscape Trust is hoping to launch a small projects grant scheme in the near future for suitable landscape conservation projects across the AONB.
    • The Trust will soon be launching the 'Cranborne Chase Volunteers' to provide opportunities for people to get involved in the conservation and enhancement of this special landscape.
    • The Trust will be working with educational establishments to increase young people’s understanding and knowledge of the countryside, farming and landscape of the AONB.
    • The Trust is working together with the AONB Partnership to achieve the long-term ambition and AONB Management Plan objective of creating a Countryside Centre for the AONB.
