First Steps Women's Centre

First Steps Women's Centre (FSWC) is a Registered Charity (XR27582) established since 1998 and continues to provide training, education and support for women and their families in the Mid-Ulster area. We provide:
training,
education courses in IT, Life Skills and Wellbeing programmes;
a range of support services including Childcare, Transport, Counselling and Benefit Checker. These women increase their confidence, make new friends and obtain a new qualification to move into employment.

    First Steps Women's Centre aims to:

    • To Provide a responsive, supportive and innovative service. Deliver and expand a variety and range of training to meet identified need. Provide a safe & secure fit for purpose learning environment
    • To be a catalyst for community development. Promote and share FSWC best practice with relevant community, voluntary & statutory sectors. Maintain & develop intra & inter community interaction
    • To grow & sustain an effective organisation. Ensure sound organisational governance through an appropriately skilled Board of Directors
