  • Mission statement

Through education, YPTE strives to create a better future by inspiring young people to look after our world.

Today's young people are tomorrow's decision makers. By inspiring in them a love of the environment and an understanding of the need to look after it, they are more likely to live sustainable lives.

YPTE aims to educate as wide an audience of young people as possible about key environmental issues. Our free online resources for young people include fact sheets, videos, publications and games. For teachers YPTE provides a wide range of high quality lesson plans, each linked to a Powerpoint presentation, which directly address the requirements of the National Curriculum. In 2016, over 23,500 lesson plans were downloaded free by teachers.

YPTE also delivers interactive and inspiring environmental talks and presentations to schools, that are tailored to the requirements of the National Curriculum.

In addition, YPTE works with corporate sponsors to create and organise exciting environmental competitions for schools and young people.
