Mothers Of Africa

Mothers of Africa is a medical Educational Trust that operates in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The primary aim of the charity is to support women in developing rural communities in Africa to implement change via education and infrastructure.

Founded 2006

  • Mission statement

    To relieve sickness and promote the health of people living in Africa, including women of child-bearing age, mothers, girls, children and babies and supporting the health of families. This will be done by provision of: training for healthcare professionals; equipment which supports such training and hospital infrastructure to enable this object.

    To relieve poverty through the provision of education of adults, girls and boys, empowering people living in Africa through education. This education will additionally enable them to promote their own good health. Provision of education includes the training of education professionals, education of adults, girls and boys and provision of educational equipment and infrastructure to enable this.

  • Aims

    Mothers Of Africa aims to:

    • Complete Phase II Shiyala Primary School build, Chongwe District, Zambia and fully exit this project (in terms of financial commitment). Hand over governance of the school to Zambian government.
    • Commence plans for next school build, once we have identified need for support and undertaken risk assessment. Secondary build is likely to be in rural Swaziland.
