Charity information

Hammersmith And Fulham Foodbank

Our primary objective is the prevention and/or relief of food poverty in and around the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham, by providing emergency food supplies to individuals and families in need. Many people live in or on the edge of poverty in our community, and benefit delay, debt, bereavement, redundancy, family breakdown, or illness can leave them unable to feed themselves or their families.

Founded 2010

  • Mission statement

Our mission is to ensure that no-one in the borough of Hammersmith & Fulham goes to bed hungry. This is a bold statement and we aim to achieve it through the following means:-]
    1. The provision of emergency food parcels, each containing enough food to prepare up to 10 nutritionally balanced meals, from one of our three Foodbank Centres in the Borough.
    2. By targeting some of the root causes with signposting and support. Hammersmith & Fulham Foodbank (HFFB) works in partnership with Hammersmith and Fulham Citizen’s Advice (H&FCA) who provide benefits and debt advice to HFFB Clients. We are working in partnership with other local crisis organisations to provide a comprehensive, holistic and sustainable support programme.
    3. Our Eat Well Spend Less Course ( a 6 week cooking course providing practical cooking skills and education on budgeting and healthy eating), Holiday Club projects, and partnerships with H&F Law Centre and ‘Fuelbanks and Families’.
