Jigsaw4u is an established and respected South-West London based children’s charity that has worked for 20 years to support children and young people with complex social, emotional and bereavement issues. We work proactively to get children, young people and their families back on track by building positive relationships and empowering them to have a voice in their future.
Last year Jigsaw4u worked with 3,900 children, young people and parents.
Helping children and young people put the pieces back together. We provide counselling, mentoring, befriending, advocacy, parenting support and participation so that children and young people receive the necessary support that they need, but also have their voices heard.
We bring together children and young people who feel alone and different, so that by sharing their experiences they can develop the tools to move forward in their lives.
The aim of our work is to ensure that families in our community are resilient enough to cope with issues and experiences that may otherwise cause mental health concerns, family separation, emotional or physical abuse of children, neglect and children being taken into care. In order to achieve this we work with families to support them through their difficult experiences and we give them the tools, the confidence and the support network to manage everything after our work has finished.
Jigsaw4u endeavour to hear and represent the voice of the child. Children’s views are integral to how we run our services, to achieve this aim we always make sure that we gather feedback and involve young people in decision making.
Jigsaw4u aims to:
- We aim to provide therapeutic 1:1 support along with group work, family sessions and positive activities for children and families who may not otherwise have the opportunity to access them.
