A recent Consultation with Service Users has shown that the biggest perceived gap in service provision was a lack of services for carers and their families.
We want to introduce a Sitting Service which benefits Dementia patients, their Carers and their Families.
We propose offering Sitting Services of between 2 and 3 hours to Dementia patients ("Members") in their own home. During the Sitting Session, the Member will be offered stimulating activity and one-to-one support with a fully trained member of staff.
The Service will allow carers and family members an opportunity to pursue their own activities and we will support them to engage with their local community.
