Sustainable Inshore Fisheries Trust
SIFT develops and implements new fisheries management measures, and works to increase the representation of a wider range of stakeholders in fisheries management. We also promote inshore fishery policy development up the political agenda at Scotland's parliament and promote the most policy-relevant areas of research to ensure that fisheries policies are based on sound science.

SIFT's vision is to promote the sustainable management of Scotland’s inshore waters so that they provide the maximum long term benefits to all coastal communities.
Healthy, diverse, sustainable, economically thriving and resilient inshore waters around Scotland can only be achieved by making inshore fisheries more environmentally sustainable and economically viable. -
