World Literacy Foundation

The World Literacy Foundation was founded to eradicate illiteracy. We strongly believe that education is a fundamental human right, and that all children should have access to quality education. We advocate for better global literacy standards and strive for a just world where all children can read and write to reach their potential and transcend beyond.

Founded 2013

  • Mission statement

We believe in creating strong partnerships, assisting grassroots organisations, and maximising existing resources to create innovative and cost-effective methods of bringing quality education to the world. As we step into the future, we are blending our approach of traditional learning (building libraries, teacher training, and research) with digital learning.

Since our establishment in 2003, the World Literacy Foundation has steadily grown to align with the needs of a continually evolving education sector. We have forged partnerships with other leading educational organisations, and have built long-lasting relationships with communities around the world. With offices in Australia, United Kingdom and North America, our team works together to achieve one common goal; to raise global literacy standards and provide quality education to all children in the world.
