Sustain is an alliance of public-interest organisations working to promote healthy, humane and sustainable food and farming. We work with communities, local authorities, cities, organisations and businesses to promote healthy eating, good food education, sustainable and humane food production, fair trade and a food system that is all-round better for people, animals and the planet.

    Sustain: The alliance for better food and farming advocates food and farming policies and practices that enhance the health and welfare of people and animals, improve the working and living environment, enrich society and culture and promote equity. Sustain represents around 100 national public interest organisations working at international, national, regional and local level.

    Sustain: The Alliance For Better Food & Farming aims to:

    • The advancement of education
    • The advancement of health or the saving of lives
    • The relief of those in need, by reason of youth, age, ill-health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage
    • The advancement of environmental protection or improvement
    • The advancement of animal welfare
